Cleaning Staff Position

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning & Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of our gym facility. This role is critical to delivering a high-quality member experience and ensuring a safe, sanitary training environment.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, notices small details, and understands the importance of maintaining a professional fitness facility.

Core Responsibilities

Monday / Wednesday / Friday Responsibilities

Gym Floor

• Vacuum every inch of the gym floor

• Mop the entire gym floor thoroughly

Bathrooms

• Restock toilet paper

• Refill all soap dispensers

• Clean thoroughly under hand dryers

• Clean and disinfect toilets and sinks

• Mop bathroom floors

• Empty all trash bins

Cleaning Stations

• Empty all trash receptacles

• Ensure each cleaning station has:

  • 2 full spray bottles

  • 4 rolls of paper towels

Machines & Equipment

• Wipe every inch of every machine and piece of equipment using all-purpose cleaner

• Ensure no residue, dust, or sweat remains on any surface

Chalk Bowl

• Refill chalk bowl as needed

Mirrors

• Spot clean all mirrors as necessary

• Thoroughly clean all posing room and bathroom mirrors each cleaning day

Organization

• Re-rack all weights from machines and gym floor to proper storage locations

• Organize turf equipment neatly

• Organize front desk area

Equipment Reporting

• Immediately report any broken or damaged equipment

• Text a photo of the issue directly to Arsen

Lobby

• Vacuum the entire lobby area

Tuesday / Thursday Responsibilities

Bathrooms

• Restock toilet paper

• Refill soap dispensers

• Clean under hand dryers

• Clean toilets and sinks

• Mop bathroom floors

Organization

• Re-rack all weights to proper storage areas

• Organize turf equipment

• Organize front desk area

• Walk the entire gym floor and remove any trash or debris

Monthly Responsibilities (Once Per Month)

• Deep clean turf using carpet cleaner

• Wipe every mirror in the facility until completely streak-free (zero spots)

Performance Expectations

• Floors must be fully vacuumed and mopped — no missed areas.

• Equipment must be completely free of dust, chalk, and sweat residue.

• Bathrooms must be odor-free and fully stocked at all times.

• Mirrors must be streak-free.

• The gym must be organized and presentation-ready after every shift.

• Broken equipment must be reported immediately.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred (fitness facility experience a plus)

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently

• Physically capable of lifting weights and moving equipment for cleaning

• Reliable transportation

• Professional and trustworthy

PAY: $19/HR

HOURS: 21hrs/week
